Yolanda Kay Newberry passed away at home on September 4, 2024, with her husband, family and Bandit by her side. She was born on June 29, 1959, to Alfred and Audrey Crisp. She was the oldest of two other sisters and the middle sibling of five brothers. Yolanda was raised in Twin Falls where she later met the love of her life they zinged at first sight. She married Edward Lee Newberry, Jr. on September 30, 1977.
Later on, they had two daughters, Lisa and Ruth. Yolanda was a stay at home mom and raised her girls while her husband worked. When it came time for her to join the work force, she did so happily, it was an outlet for her. She worked as a laborer at numerous jobs from potato plants, restaurants, to housekeeper. She started working in 1999 and retired in 2009 when she quit working to spend time with her grandbabies.
Yolanda loved the great outdoors and long drives with her husband. If you couldn’t find her, most likely they were lost on a drive somewhere discovering new roads and adventures. She loved her husband and family, making sure they had everything they needed. She enjoyed being a grandma and really enjoyed being a great grandma. She will be dearly missed by all her knew her.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Crisp; mother, Audrey Crisp; and brothers, Garey Crisp and Lanny Parks. She is survived by her husband, Edward Newberry; daughters, Lisa Newberry and Ruth (Travis) Thomas; nine grandkids and seven great grandkids; as well as her sisters, Connie Corbett, Marilyn (Herb), and Melody; and brothers, Barry (Marie) Crisp, Billy (Sandy) Crisp, and Jimmy Crisp. She is also survived by her kitty fur baby Bandit, who was her everything.
A Celebration of Yolanda’s Life will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Kingdom Church, 910 Shoshone St E, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
