Willard C. Weigt "Willie" passed away October 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Menno, South Dakota to Leonard and Barbara Mueller Weigt on August 19, 1925. He went to school in Menno, South Dakota and graduated from Menno High School in 1943. In 1946 he moved to Jerome, Idaho.
Willard married Dorthia Kober on June 22, 1947 in Jerome, Idaho. He worked at Volco Builders in 1946, Carters Cleaners in 1947, Idaho Department Store in 1949-1952, Growers Warehouse in 1952-1956, at which time became known as Morgan Lindsey where he worked for them until 1982. After leaving Morgan Lindsey in 1982, he went to work for Reed Grain Co. in Gooding, Idaho until his retirement in 1990.
Willard was a veteran of WWII and served in the US Army from December 1943- April 1946 and US Army National Guard from 1947-1955.
He served on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Feed and Grain for 8 years then served as President for one year. He volunteered for 10 years for the Twin Falls Citizens on Patrol. Willard loved playing golf with friends and family. Willard enjoyed volunteering his time to help Ed and Sharon Peterson establish the 93 Golf Ranch and continued until 2013.
Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Barbara Weigt; his brothers, Edgar, Raymond, Ivan, and Clarence; his beloved wife, Dorthia; his granddaughter, Kristi; and his grandson, Kevin.
He is survived by his children, Joy (Art) Cristler; Daryl (Erma) Weigt; Lynn (Bobbi) Weigt; and Mark (Nancy) Weigt; his brothers, Alton (June) Weigt; Denny (Sandy) Weigt; and Harlan (Kasey) Weigt; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, October 30, 2017 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1303 N Davis St, Jerome, with additional viewing beginning at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donation be made in his name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1301 N Davis St, Jerome, Idaho 83338.
