Wanda Falconburg

August 4, 1962 — June 1, 2020

JEROME

On June 1, 2020, Wanda Falconburg went home to our heavenly father after her courageous fight against Alzheimer’s. She fought hard these last few years, all the way up to the end.

Wanda was born on August 4, 1962 to Charlie and Garnet (Sumner) Martinez in Cheyenne, WY. She loved to tell stories of growing up close to family before moving to Jerome, ID at the end of her teen years. She made Idaho her home and loved being surrounded by all her family and friends. She loved everyone she met and made sure they knew it.

Wanda's greatest passions in life were her grandchildren, her kids, her mom, her sister and brothers, and all of her nieces and nephews. She loved to be at all the family gatherings she got invited to because that meant she got to be surrounded by those she loved. It is thanks to her that the four of us are so close and are raising our children to be close and to love each other. These last few years we were able to make some special memories and will forever treasure the time we had.

Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents; her dad; and her two uncles. She is survived by her mom, Garnet; sister, Pam; and her two brothers, Chuck (Robin) and Brian (Kathy); and her aunt, Sheryl. She is also survived by her four kids, William “Billy” (Mellissa) of Jerome; Larie (Rodney) of Filer; Amber (Steven) of Jerome; and Garnet (Robert) of Twin Falls; her 15 grandchildren who were her world: Caleb (Meggan), Koby, Xavior, Chris, Davion, Lisa, Teegan, Aubriana, Richard, Selena, Hailey, Lakota, Junior, Angel, Grayson; and one great grandson, Alexander.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Mel and her staff at Ashley Manor in Jerome. They provided the most amazing care and love for Wanda throughout her time there.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the entire hospice team at Encompass Health. Thank you for fighting so hard to make her comfortable and ease her pain.
