Vonda Sharon Helsley

Vonda Sharon Helsley began her journey in this life in 1935 on a farm in Castleford, Idaho. Born to Aaron and Nora Gonterman, along with 2 brothers, Lyle and Lloyd, and 2 sisters, Lillian and Carol, she was the middle child. Working on the family farm, Vonda learned the importance of hard work and cultivated a love of the outdoors. 

At the age of 18, she married Richard Helsley and they embarked on their own adventures working on a ranch near the Idaho/Nevada border. In the 1970s, they settled in Jerome, Idaho, and started a family. Going back to her roots in farming, Vonda raised vegetable and flower gardens, as well as 2 children, Rhonda and Nathan. 

As time went on, she became a grandmother to Chase, Devon, Bailey, and Cameron Helsley and great-grandmother to Amaura and Eloah.

On April 21, 2024, Vonda left this life to begin a new adventure. In accordance with her wishes, no service will be held, but the family encourages all who knew her to celebrate her memory in their own way.
