Velma Mae Parker

In loving memory of Velma Mae Parker, born September 12, 1944, in Wendell, Idaho and peacefully departed November 12, 2023, in Jerome, Idaho.

Velma found joy in simple pleasures, from enjoying twizzlers and soda during long car rides to her passion for reading, traveling, and the delight of watching her favorite shows. Nights were filled with music, as she joyfully sang along.

Velma is survived by her cherished children, Christina (C.J.) Bridwell, Tamara Northrup, and Steven Parker; along with her beloved grandchildren, Cash (Nicole), Christopher (Rhianna), Avery (Luella), Andrenia (Jake), and Trevor; and 7 great grandchildren. She is also remembered by her sister, Lois Winder; and brothers, Bill Kingsland and Al Kingsland (Louise).

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lloyd Parker; her parents, Alfred and Lillie Kingsland; and sister, Minnie Risbeck. She will be remembered as a loving soul who always embraced the goodness in others. Her unwavering loyalty to family and friends was matched only by her generous love.

A celebration of Velma's life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Life Church of Magic Valley, 425 E Nez Perce Ave, Jerome, Idaho.

May her memory live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and kindness. As she often said, "take a feather."
