Tracy Lynn Rue, beloved father and dedicated service member, passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on May 25, 1967, to Roger Rue and Karen (Rue) Gardner in Renton, Washington and raised in Jerome, Idaho, Tracy's journey was marked by his unwavering commitment to family and country.
A proud graduate of Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Tracy served in the USMC for eight years then retired as a Major in the USAF. Completing two tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq, his courage and dedication to his service exemplified his profound love for his nation. His awards and achievements are too vast to mention.
Tracy loved working with his dad, Roger prior to his passing in 2008. He loved Walleye tournament fishing, winning several awards or just having fun trying. He loved teaching his children to ski, snowmobile, boating and sharing his extensive skills in home renovation and construction.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father; and nephew, Colby Jacob Rue.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandi Rue; his cherished children, Zackaria and grandson Ryder; Jeremiah (Autumn) and granddaughter, Aella; Alexandria; and Isabella and grandson, Asantae; his mother, Karen (Harvey) Gardener; siblings, Brett (Denise) Rue, Nikki (Clyde) Gosnell, Dustin (Jana) Rue, and Trenton (Alisha) Rue; and multiple nieces and nephews. Tracy's legacy of love, strength, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. A funeral service, where family and friends can celebrate the remarkable man he was, will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Jerome Cemetery, with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Farnsworth Mortuary, Jerome Idaho.
