SUSIE LEOLA BEAN

Jerome - On January 29, 2016, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Susie Leola Bean, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her farm in Jerome, Idaho. Susie was born April 26, 1919 in Checotah, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Loma Hale. Susie’s childhood years were spent in Oklahoma with her mom and dad and her four brothers. In 1935, Susie married her beloved husband, Carl Bean and soon after moved to Jerome, where they purchased the farm she called home for more than 70 years. Together, on the farm, Susie and Carl farmed, raised cattle and were blessed with two children, Carl Ray, and Clarence George. After her husband’s passing in 1991, Susie remained on the farm she loved.

Susie loved to garden, go fishing and camping, and to go on picnics with her friends and family. She loved God and was an active member of Believers Church in Jerome. Susie’s spirit could not be contained and she brought a warm smile to everyone she came into contact with. Her generosity and compassion gleamed as she filled those around her with her lively, fun loving and humorously wonderful personality.

Susie is survived by her two sons, six grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. We are all better because Susie was in our lives. We miss and love you Susie and we will see you in heaven with the other angels!

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. , Monday, February 1, 2016 , at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, Idaho. A reception will follow at the Jerome Senior Center, located at 520 N Lincoln Ave, Jerome, ID 83338 . www.farnsworthmortuary.com
