Steve Moss, 79, a longtime resident of Jerome, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2025 due to inexplicable reasons. Steve was a big-hearted brother, uncle, friend, and proud United States Air Force veteran. He was born December 19, 1945, in Trenton, NJ, to Karl Moss and Leona Simmons.Steve was the eldest son of a large extended family, which included sisters, Ann Rosenthal and Vicki Fenton, and brothers, Joseph Miskovich, Peter Miskovich, Kenneth Moss, Daniel Moss, Scott Moss, and Andy Moss (predeceased). He loved and adored his many nephews and nieces.
In 1965, Steve enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving in the US and abroad, retiring after 23 as a Master Sergeant rank. During his service, Steve fell in love with Idaho, choosing to retire and settle in Jerome. Steve also volunteered in the Military Color Guard; he enjoyed attending weekly meetings and was happy to mentor and support others.
Some of Steve’s favorite pastimes through the years were enjoying day trips on his Harley, helping friends, going to the gym, and appreciating nature and the companionship of his beloved German Shepherds.
Steve’s fun, loving, and upbeat presence touched many, and he will be greatly missed.
