Sharon Swenson

Jerome- Sharon Lee LeVitre Swenson, 81, of Jerome, Idaho, passed away peacefully of natural causes 8 June 2015 at the Twin Falls Care Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born on 16 October 1933 in Provo, Utah, daughter of Raymond Cheever LeVitre and Bessie Woffinden.

Sharon lived her early childhood in Provo and later lived in many locations on both the eastern and western parts of the United States with her mother and stepfather,

Samuel Cowan.  She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1951 and married Melvin LeGrande Swenson in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple on 8 July 1952.  The couple lived in Twin Falls until 1975 when they moved to Jerome.  She was a devoted wife and mother who instilled in her children  a love and respect for each other, a strong work ethic, a tolerance for remodeling and sensitivity towards others. She and her husband set an excellent example of a strong and loving marriage. She will be remembered by her grandchildren for her superb grilled cheese sandwiches.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Dorene LeVitre, of Mesa, Arizona, and one son, Don Arthur Swenson, of Burley, Idaho.  She is survived by one sister, Ruth Gibbons, of Mesa, Arizona, two children, Sharalee Swenson (Ron) Clawson, of Rupert, Idaho, and Mark Samuel (Melonie) Swenson of Jerome.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with two more on the way.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM , Monday, June 15, 2015 , at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln Ave., Jerome.  Interment will follow in the Twin Falls Cemetery.
