Mountain Home- Sabra Lyne Redd Watson began her life's journey October 29, 1964, in Grangeville, Idaho. After an earthly sojourn of 51 years, she returned to Heaven on November 16, 2015, from her home in Mountain Home, Idaho, succumbing to the lifelong ravages to her body from diabetes, with family members at her side. Sabra grew up in Jerome and graduated from Jerome High School and the College of Southern Idaho. After college, her employment was with Magic Valley Refrigeration, United Oil, Twin Falls Hospital and Gary's Westland Motors. After moving to Hagerman, she had short term employment at Hagerman High School, Chappell's Market and Billingsley Creek Lodge until her diminishing health forced her into full disability.
She loved being in the workplace and involved with people every day. No longer being able to do this created a huge void in her life.
Sabra was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; knew the purpose for being on earth and loved life! Known among all those she met for being happy, friendly, with a great sense of humor, love of talking and always looking for fun activities to be involved in.
She met and became friends with Byron Gail Watson in 1993. They were married on her lucky day, Friday, April 13, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada. During these 15 years, they have lived in Hagerman, Kuna at Swan Falls Power Plant, and Mountain Home, Idaho where Gail has been employed with Idaho Power. In the midst of and in spite of horrendous health challenges, together they have created happy homes and a haven for many pampered pets who have been their "children." These have been years of loving, nurturing, sustaining and building one another up.
Sabra is survived by her husband, Gail Watson, of Mountain Home; her parents, Norman and Helen Redd, of Jerome; one brother, Kevin (Jackie) Redd, three nephews and two nieces, all of Nampa; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 28, 2015, in the Jerome LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 825 East Avenue B, Jerome. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Burley, Idaho. Sabra's family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in her name to your local animal shelter. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
