Rosalind Cox

Rosalind F. Cox, 81, of Jerome, Idaho passed away August 10, 2022. Roz was born October 14, 1940 in Boise, Idaho to Joseph Elliott and Olive Fern Steelsmith Elliott. As a young girl, she was very athletic and could play baseball, football and fish as good or better than most boys and was an excellent swimmer. Roz graduated high school in Jerome and went to work in banking. She began as a teller but spent most of her career in New Accounts and Customer Service.

Rosalind married Ron Cox in Nevada on January 8, 1982 and was a devoted caregiver until his passing. She was a member of Jerome Bible Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed the years she volunteered there with the Master’s Club. Friday afternoon Bible study with her friend, Shirley, was always a special time for Roz. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, and loved flowers. Roz was a very good cook and over the years she baked goodies for the church, friends, family, and neighbors.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 22, 2022, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am, at Jerome Bible Baptist Church, 132 2nd Ave E, Jerome, Idaho 83338. Graveside service will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.

Roz is survived by her daughter, Karen Beisner; and brother, Robert "Butch" Elliott.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Elliott; and her husband, Ron Cox.
