Roger Lee

Wendell- Roger Jay Shane Lee, 79, of Wendell, passed away peacefully Thursday August 25, 2016, at Stonebridge Assisted Living Center in Wendell.  He was born October 16, 1936, in St. Anthony, Idaho and was raised in Ashton by Claude L. Lee and Lucille Thompson Lee.  Roger graduated from North Fremont High School.  On May 25, 1956, he married Verline Atwood.  They settled in Wendell where they raised two children. Most of Roger's working years were spent as an explosives technician in road construction with Peter Kiewit Construction and Western Construction.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.  Mostly he loved spending time with his family.

Roger is survived by his sweetheart of 60 years, Verline Lee of Wendell; their children, Janet Hochstrasser and Shane (Sheila) Lee, all of Twin Falls; seven grandchildren, Joylene Lynn, Alesha Wood, Rudy Hochstrasser, Kymberly Lange, Debra Hochstrasser, Jordanna Kimball and Shyanne Lee; six great-grandchildren, Nichols Lynn, Ashlee Lange, Dastin Wood, Kandyce Lynn, Easton Wood and Blayne Kimball; two sisters, Marilyn Kidd and Cindy (Derek) Rasmussen; and many extended family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude L. Lee and Lucille Lee; his biological father, Wayne Shane; his brother Robert and twin brothers Sam and Dick; his sister Claudia and two great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Lynn and Jakub Kimball.  Roger's family would like to extend a special "Thank You!" to Idaho Home Health and Hospice and Stonebridge Assisted Living for the kind care he received.

A visitation will be held Monday evening, August 29, 2016, in the Wendell LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 605 North Idaho Street, Wendell, Idaho, where family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. sharp, Tuesday August 30, 2016, also in the Wendell LDS 1st Ward Chapel, with Bishop Don Egbert officiating.  A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Wendell Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
