Rick Borges

Rick D. Borges, 58, of Jerome, Idaho passed away June 7, 2017. Rick was born June 15, 1958 in Oshkosh, Nebraska. He learned his trade as a diesel mechanic at an early age from his father, Stan Borges.

Rick was a heavy equipment mechanic for most of his working career. He spent the last 18 years in construction with Valley Paving, Bellevue, until his illness forced him to retire.

Rick married Pauline (Sparks) Borges on May 16, 1997 in Jerome, Idaho. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling, and being outdoors. Family was most important to him and his brother-in-law, Larry, held a very special place is his life.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Stan Borges; his brother, David Borges; and step-brothers, Kenneth Cordel, Mike Herman, and Dennis Herman.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; children, Shannon, Wendy, and Michael; brother, Darrin; sisters, Terrie, Barbie, Judy, Theresa, and Diane; step-mother, Lula Borges; and Robin, Marlene, Patrick, and Brenda who he loved and thought the world of; as well as numerous grandkids and a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Freewill Baptist Church, 810 S Cleveland, Jerome, with Pastor Gene Kissinger officiating.
