Randy Carl Steadham

February 10, 1987 — December 2, 2024

JEROME

We lost our beautiful son, husband, father and friend, Randy Carl Steadham, December 2, 2024, in a tragic accident. Randy was born February 10, 1987 in Idaho Falls to Debbie Gould and Randy J. Steadham. At a very young age he was given the nickname “Spud”. To most family and his Idaho Falls and Pocatello friends, he will always be Spud.

He attended Linden Park grade school in Idaho Falls playing sports, collecting pets, and making lifelong friends. Randy moved to Jerome in the summer before starting school at Jerome Middle School and then moved on to graduate from Jerome High School-Go Tigers! It was at this time in his life he became “Randall” to his many friends. He played sports, collected more pets, hunted, fished, and made so many more lifelong friends.

After graduation, Randy began his lifelong career with 4 Seasons Tree Service, working with his dad. He was a talented arborist and as his son, RJ, called him, “A Workin Man”, and work he did!

Randy met Rena Montgomery in late 2015 and they married February 16, 2019. This is the time of his life he became “Dad”, his most treasured and favorite name of all. Randy and Rena welcomed son, RJ, who is now 5 and then daughter, Remi, who is now 3, to complete their family. Randy’s 1st love was his family and he was incredibly proud of his wife and children.

Randy was a passionate UFC and Fantasy Football fan. Randy was a true outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and enjoy the great outdoors. He loved and collected so many 4-legged friends throughout his life, recently adding 7 goats and 2 dogs.

We think his 2nd love was “The Canyon”. It was so close to his home, and he would rarely miss a day taking the kids or dogs or even goats and walking the canyon. Hundreds of miles were spent there where he made more friends.

We are at a loss for words to fully describe how incredible Randy was, but he hung the moon and lit the stars for us.

He leaves behind his wife, Rena; son, RJ; daughter, Remi; mom and stepdad, Debbie and Brent Facer; dad and stepmom, Randy and Lori Steadham, mother-in-law, Deanne Montgomery; brothers, Todd (Tanya) Steadham and Nicholas Branson; brother and sisters-in-law, Raun (Julie) Montgomery, Jessica (Brandon) Vollmer, Kara (Mike) Lakey and Kabina (Logan) Parker; stepsister, Christy (Bryan) Bacon; stepbrother. Jeff (Kanlaya) Daniels; grandparents, Ray and Elfredda Gould, and Ilene Kinner; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Messick, Aunts, Uncles and a special cousin, Eric Berrett.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, December 6, 2024, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday December 7, 2024, at Frontier Elementary School, 525 Tiger Drive, Jerome. Burial will conclude at the Jerome Cemetery.
