With deep sorrow and profound gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of Dutch Zuiderveld, a man after God's own heart. Dutch was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandpa, and beloved uncle. He adored his family and lifted them up in faithful, daily prayer. His boundless compassion inspired those around him, offering them purpose and hope for a brighter future.
Dutch was known for his tireless dedication, whether driving a bus or fulfilling his ministry work. For 21 years, he served as Chaplain at the Gooding County Jail, where he established the "By His Stripes Ministry," bringing comfort and faith to countless lives. His career also included being an ironworker and a trusted bus driver.
Dutch's passion for sharing his faith was matched by his love for fishing, whether for souls or for anything with gills and fins. He found joy in riding his Harley, camping, raising puppies, and taking trips to the beach. Dutch was a man of loyalty and unwavering integrity, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and faith.
Dutch is survived by his loving wife, Jamie Zuiderveld; and his children: Breanna Zuiderveld-Monroe (Steven); Josh Carroll; Nick Carroll (Ashley); and Samantha Zuiderveld-Macias (Pedro). He was a proud grandfather to Jaidyn, Jaila, Zao, Raz, Elle, Hazel, Caidyn, Chevi, and Chloe. His brothers, Jay and Paul Zuiderveld; as well as nephews, Tom Zuiderveld (Glenneda) and Paul Zuiderveld (Mickie), were an integral part of his life. Dutch’s family extended through Christ, welcoming many who became dear to him.
He was predeceased by his father, John Zuiderveld; his mother, Tina (Wijngaarden) Zuiderveld; and his brother, Thomas Zuiderveld, Sr.
A Celebration of Dutch’s Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Community Christian Church, 303 Grandview Dr., Twin Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of Bibles and Bible tracts be made to local prisons and jails to continue his mission of sharing hope and faith.
Dutch's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and inspired. His light will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Dutch’s memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
