Jerome - Mildred Estelle Taylor Gosnell, 88, of Jerome passed away Tuesday November 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Mildred was the only girl of five children, born to Lester and Sue Ann Taylor on October 28, 1927, in Oklahoma. She spent her early years in Oklahoma later moving to Roswell, NM where she graduated and met the love of her life, Richard Gosnell. They married in 1943 and three days later Richard left for World War II. Mildred spent the next three years waiting for his return to the states, while she filled her time as a phone operator. Upon Richard's return to Roswell in 1946, they ran a ranch where she fixed all the meals which lead to her love of preparing meals for people for years to come. Upon departure from the ranch, she attended Bible Baptist College of Springfield MO, and in 1956 came to the Northwest. They lived in Oregon, where they started their family, later moving to Washington and Idaho. They settled in Jerome, making it their final home. She loved spending time with her family and church family. Mildred held the Jerome Bible Baptist Church and the members there, dear to her heart.
Mildred is survived by her two sons, David (Beth) of Burns, OR, and Clyde (Nikki) of Jerome, ID, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one brother Walt (Jerry) Taylor of Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Gosnell, her parents and three brothers.
