Meralyn Robinson

Meralyn J. Robinson, 83 of Jerome, peacefully passed away on December 17, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Shoshone.

Meralyn was born on November 9, 1937 in Preston, Idaho to Nephi Oliver and Julia Dorothy Hansen. She grew up in the Thousand Springs area and graduated from Wendell High School in 1955.

She married Robert Darrell Robinson on October 22, 1956 in the Logan Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lived in the Magic Valley area where they raised their five children.

Meralyn was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. She was extremely faithful with her visiting teaching/ministering. From 2004 to 2006, she was able to fulfill her desire to serve a mission with her husband in Perth, Australia.

She was a hard worker and valued what she earned and accomplished. She taught her children the importance of working hard and “if you’re going to do something, do it right”.

Meralyn will be missed by her children, Ken and Elaine Robinson, Wally and Julee Robinson, Lonnie Robinson, Doug and Monique Robinson, and Jillea and Andrew Young; along with 19 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Perry & Jeannie Hansen and M. Gene and Dianna Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband; and her parents.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. A private family service will be livestreamed on Farnsworth Mortuary Facebook page at 11:00 am, Monday, December 21, 2020.
