Mary Jane Mulvaney

March 28, 1956 — September 17, 2023

TWIN FALLS

On Sunday, September 17, 2023, Mary Jane (Robison) Mulvaney, loving wife, mother, and Grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Mary was born March 28, 1956, in Tracy, California to Ira and Lenora Robison. Joining her older siblings Frances, Betty (Jeannie), Judy, Ira (Glen) Jr., Jimmy, and Patty, making her the baby of the family. Growing up she was her mom’s little shadow following her everywhere, helping around the house and cooking. Mary later graduated from East Union High School in 1974.

Mary married the love of her life, Christopher Mulvaney, on October 26, 1975. A year later they welcomed their only child, Chris Mulvaney Jr. Mary loved being a mom. She was so proud of everything Chris had accomplished. They raised Chris in Manteca, California, and Elko, Nevada. After Chris was grown, they followed him to Twin Falls, Idaho.

A highlight of her life was when each of her grandchildren were born, beginning with Viola and then Silas. She spent lots of time with them and helped watch them weekly before they started school. She always had cookies, popsicles, and juice waiting for them. She loved to tell anyone who would listen about her beautiful grandbabies. They are going to miss you, Grammy.

She enjoyed going to yard sales, spending time with her family, and having family BBQs. She looked forward to many conversations with her sisters on the phone. She loved seeing her sisters, nieces, and nephews. Mary loved to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and rarely missed an episode. She loved watching football with Chris. She thought it was pretty cool when Viola would give her the shoes she had outgrown. Mary loved spending time with her parents and helped take care of each of them in their final days.

Mary is survived by her son Chris (Jessi) Mulvaney of Jerome; grandkids, Viola and Silas Mulvaney; Sisters, Frances Robison-Slaughter of Sedro Woolley, WA, Judy Robison of Elko, NV, Patty Sandoval of Winton, CA; and her nephew and many nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Glen Robison and Lenora (Johnson) Robison; her husband Christopher Mulvaney Sr.; her brothers, Ira Glen Robison Jr. and Jimmy Robison; her sister Betty Jeannie (Robison) Imperial; her nephews, Robert Vallejo and Ronnie Imperial Jr.

Mary’s family would like to thank Serenity Transitional Care Facility in Twin Falls for their excellent care, consideration, and kindness toward Mary over the last four months.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, location to be determined.
