Jerome - MaLinda J. Galow, 76, passed away peacefully at her home September 21, 2017 with her daughter and son-in-law at her side, after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born November 15, 1940 in Burley, Idaho to Earl and Geneva Martindale. She was raised in the Burley area by her father after her mother died when she was four years old.
Linda moved to Texas where she met and married Robert Pemberton on December 16, 1964. They traveled the world as he was in the US Army. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. They settled in Phoenix, Arizona with their two daughters, Kellie and Molly. They later divorced and she moved back to Idaho in 1979 to be closer to her family.
MaLinda moved back to Burley and went to work for Ore-Ida Foods. That is where she met the love of her life, Lyle R. Galow. They were married on December 14, 1984 in Burley and made their home in Heyburn. They loved to hunt, fish and travel all over. After she retired from Ore-Ida she had her own business, M.J. Galow Tax Service, in her home for 20 years. Lyle passed away May 23, 2012 of cancer.
In June of 2015, she relocated to Jerome, Idaho to be with her daughter and son-in-law. She remained with them until her passing.
Mom loved reading the newspaper every morning, putting puzzles together, crossword puzzles, scratching lotto tickets and coloring pictures with color pencils.
Linda is survived by her kids, Kellie (Rick) Davis of Jerome; Molly (Tony) Galow of Rupert; Suzy (Maurice) Yelverton of Declo; Mike (Colleen) Galow of Arkansas; Kelly (Cindy) Galow of Missouri; and Willie Galow of Rupert; lots and lots of grandkids and great grandkids; one sister, Veral of Texas; one sister-in-law, Theresa of Hansen; her best friend, Gertie of Utah; and her sweet and loving pets, Sassy and Konk.
