Lyle Laverne Moore was born January 8, 1947 to Albert "Bud" and Florence "Deanie" Moore in Wendell, ID. Lyle grew up and lived most of his life in Jerome, ID. He left this life before any of us were ready, but he left doing what he loved most in the place that gave him great joy, fishing at the lake.
Lyle married his High School Sweetheart Bonny Van Zante in 1966 and they made their home for a number of years in Arizona, where Lyle owned and operated Sundance Tire. He was also a member of the AZ Army National Guard where he was the youngest First Sergeant in the State of Arizona, at that time. He rose through the ranks until being honorably discharged at the rank of E8. Lyle and Bonny shared 38 years of love and 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In 1968, Lyle was initiated into the Jerome Elks Lodge, later known as Snake River Elks Lodge where he had the privilege to serve as the Exalted Ruler three separate times, Officer of the Year, and Elk of the Year. In his final years he enjoyed working at the Elks as the Treasurer, volunteering for charity drives and fundraising. He loved the holidays when the Elks were able to put baskets together for the community.
Lyle had a love of the outdoors from a young age. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sitting by the lake visiting with family and friends alike. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. The last weeks of his life gave him a great appreciation of the life he led and his loved ones.
Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, twin infant sisters Mary and Maryann, brother Ron and granddaughter Madison. Lyle leaves behind Bonny, his children, Stacy (Herman) Garcia, Kellie (Ed) Reagles, Brandon (Carol) Moore, Summer ( Chase) Rodgers, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister Beverly Williams, brother Richard (Illaria) Moore, Liz (Big Yellow Dog) Moore and many more family and friends.
Our family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all who were with our Dad in these past years and weeks. A special thank you to: Aunt Bev for always watching over Dad, no matter how ornery he was, Uncle Rich for always being the best brother and friend, to Dale for being the best darn cousin and best friend our Dad could ever have asked for, to Brenda and Cindy for all the morning coffee gab fests and the daily check ins, to Tanya and Juanita for all the love and laughs, to the Pumpkins Kim and Kelly for keeping him in line and loving him as your own, without all of you Dad and all of us would be lost, you are all the best family around and we are truly blessed and humbled to know you. To everyone who made our Dad feel so loved and appreciated all his days. All our love and gratitude.
