Wendell- Lowell Benjamin Martin, 98, of Wendell, passed away Saturday October 22, 2016, at his home. He was born September 17, 1918, in Castleford, Idaho, the son of Jewell W. Martin and Gladys Pangburn Martin. He graduated from Philomath, Oregon high school and then served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Lowell raised three children. Most of his working years were spent as a truck driver, welder and diesel mechanic. Lowell is survived by children, Leslie J Martin, Susan C (Ron) Kelsey and step-son Robert Rushon and daughter-in-law, Jacque Wallace; one sister, Jane Lawson; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, three wives, Billie Silverwood, Eva Larias and Angie Rushon; one sister, Ruby Eyraud; and one step-son, Clifford Wallace.
Lowell's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Salina Smith, Visions hospice, Bennett Hills, Scott Ewing, Ericka Davis, Dr Donald Cannon/Staff at MSTI, Dr Cameron Clark/Staff, Dr Blake Johnson and a good friend Toni Souza who dad went on the Semi with, for their kind care.
Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. , Saturday October 29, 2016 , at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome.
