Loren Allison

Loren Richard Allison, 84, passed away in Jerome, Idaho, March 12, 2022. Loren was born October 12, 1937 to Horton and Myrtle Allison in Manhattan, Kansas.

He married the love of his life, Virginia Piland, on July 20, 1958. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2013.

While in Kansas, he worked for the county of Stafford and was a volunteer fireman. In 1972, they moved to Jerome, and he started work at Green Giant in Buhl. In 1974, he started working at Tupperware. He then retired from Tupperware in Tennessee in 1988. He moved back to Jerome and worked for the city for a short time.

Loren was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Virginia; his parents; sister, Lois; and brother, Larry.

He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Richardson and Nancy Allison; brother, Ken Allison; three sons, Doug (Sandra); Jeff; and Todd (Cleta); and several grandchildren, great grandchildren,  nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ficklin, Dr. Manning, and Idaho Home Health nurses, Grace, Nancy, Krystal, and Melissa for all the love and care that they have given to our dad. Also, a special thank you to the American Legion Post #46 for all that they have done for our dad as well.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Graveside service with military honors will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Loren’s name to the American Legion Post #46, 105 E 7th St, Jerome, Idaho 83338.
