Jerome - Lisa Ann Gibbons, 42, passed away on June 26, 2015, in Gooding, Idaho.
She was born June 23, 1973, in Nampa, Idaho to Terry Gene Gibbons and Sheryl Joyce Leavitt Gibbons. Lisa grew up in Jerome graduating from Jerome High School in 1991. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed serving the youth.
Lisa was known for her kind heart, and was always thinking of ways to serve others. She was very conscientious of those with special needs. She had a special gift for loving all of Heavenly Father’s children and seeing their true worth.
Lisa had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing at the Gooding Rodeo as well as firesides and church services in her local congregation. When she was in her twenties, Lisa had the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall with a group of singers from the College of Southern Idaho.
Lisa will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews who enjoyed slumber parties, arts and crafts, and fun play dates with their Aunt Lisa.
Lisa is survived by: her father and mother, Terry and Sheryl Gibbons of Jerome; siblings, Shawn Gibbons of Boise, ID, Paul (Amy) Gibbons of New Plymouth, ID, James (Sandi) Gibbons of Spring, TX, Peter (Myla) Gibbons of Jerome, ID, Julie (Tyler) Dayley of Jerome, Idaho; 14 Nephews and 11 Nieces. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Eugene Gibbons, Doris Durfee, Vance Leavitt, and Jean Taylor.
A visitation will be held Sunday July 5, 2015 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, where family and friends may call from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday July 6, 2015, in the Jerome LDS 10th Ward Chapel, 825 East Avenue B, Jerome, with Bishop Ed King officiating. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all who showed a kindness to Lisa and loved her while making her a part of their family.
