Larry Harris Webb passed away on Thanksgiving Day of natural causes at his home in Jerome, Idaho at the age of 74. Larry was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Kenneth and Sadie. Larry was a cowboy in the truest sense of the word. He worked his way across the Midwest as a ranch hand, the buckles he won as a bull rider he gave to the gals, and he could break, train, and ride any horse.
Larry made his home in Jerome, Idaho in the 1960’s. Integrity, honor, and service were the principles that he lived by. He was proud of his 15 years of service as a police officer for the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office and serving as the Chief Deputy under Sheriff Elza Hall. After serving his community in law enforcement Larry became a successful business owner. As the owner of the Northside Club in Jerome, Larry was loved by both his employees and patrons for over 30 years.
Above all else, Larry loved his son Cody, daughter Keri, his sister Janice, and his grandsons. He believed they were his most important contribution to this world, and we loved him more than words can say. From his first steps, his sister remembers him as fiercely loyal and trustworthy. He taught his children how to see the best in everyone and how to be a loyal friend. He used to tell us “There are only two things that matter in this world, your name and your word, if you break those nothing else matters.”
Larry never slowed down, he was always driving exactly where he wanted to go, and anyone who was lucky enough to be a passenger for any moment of his life felt supported and loved when they needed it most. He was the loudest person in the room, the most generous, and the most stubborn. The people who loved Larry are devastated with the loss of his presence, but so very grateful for the gift of having him in our lives.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; mother, Sadie; and brother, Jim. He is survived by his son, Cody (Stephanie); daughter, Keri; sister, Janice (Don); nephews, Bob and Randy; his Uncle Chuck; and grandcowboys, Owen and Morgan.
He always missed riding, and at this moment we see him doing just that on a beautiful Quarter Horse across the high desert of Idaho- loud and proud. We love you and know you are with us every day, Dad.
Our family would like to invite everyone who knew and loved him to join us as we celebrate and honor our father’s life at 1:00 p.m. MST, Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 216 2nd Ave. E. Jerome, Idaho.
