Apache Junction, Arizona- Kay Anne Shindeldecker Dunivan, 69, of Apache Junction and formerly of Gooding, passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015. She was born July 9, 1945, in Gooding, Idaho, the daughter of Richard "Dick" Shindeldecker and Leora Carrico Shindeldecker. Kay was raised in Gooding and graduated from Gooding High School. She married Kenneth Dunivan on Thanksgiving Day, 1963. They made their home in Washington where they raised one son, Tracy. After 40 years in Washington, they returned to Idaho and lived in Burley, then settled in Apache Junction. Kay was a bit of a daredevil and enjoyed hang-gliding, riding in crop dusters, and doing barrel rolls in stunt planes. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Kay was a devout Jehovah's Witness.
Kay is survived by her sweetheart of 52 years, Ken Dunivan of Apache Junction; their son, Tracy (Caroline) Dunivan of Mesa; her sister Betty Lage of Wendell; her brother David Shindeldecker of Boise; and many extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday May 13, 2015 , in the Hagerman Cemetery, 968 Cemetery Road, Hagerman, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
