Katherine Rolfe

Jerome- Katherine Rolfe, 95, of Jerome, passed away Sunday January 25, 2015, in Jerome. She was born July 1, 1919, in Melba, Idaho, to George Cecil and Jessie Kincaid Snyder. After moving around for several years, the family settled in Jerome in 1928. She married Glen Alva Rolfe on April 19, 1939 in Twin Falls. They moved to a farm east of Jerome in 1940, where they lived and farmed for over 65 years. Katherine was an active member of the First Christian Church. She was also active in the Rebekah Syringa Lodge 110, holding most offices over the years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Jerome Chapter 54.

Katherine is survived by her only son, George (Gail) Rolfe of Jerome; three grandchildren, Greg Rolfe of Ogden, Utah, Kathleen Vawser of Boise and Glenda Gibson also of Boise; two great-grandchildren, Karly Rolfe and Casey Vawser. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Glen Rolfe, and two sisters, Dolly Hite and Lydiann Barnes.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday February 2, 2015, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest by her husband in the Jerome Cemetery.
