Katherine Back

Katherine Elizabeth Back, 53, passed away August 29, 2020. She was visiting from her home in Corpus Christi, Texas when she unexpectedly fell ill. Her last act of love was as a caregiver to her daughter after shoulder surgery.

Katherine was born September 30, 1966 in Miami, Oklahoma to Kenneth Eugene Back and Patricia Ann Hobbs Back. She attended schools in Nampa, Idaho and then completed her schooling at BSU, Boise.

Katherine enjoyed the beach, camping, and being in the mountains. One of her greatest loves was playing with her grandkids and doing whatever they asked.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia Back of Nampa, Idaho; children, Steven (Gina) Wanzer of Corpus Christi, Texas; John (Crystal) Jennings of Burley, Idaho; and Heather (Jason) Reed of Burley, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; sister, Kim (James) Ward of Boise, Idaho; brother, Kevin (Debbie) Back of Nampa, Idaho; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth “Buck” Back; and brother, Kenneth Back.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Kateesha and James Inglehart, Ciera and Dave Coleman, and Trish and Robert Studor for all their help when my mom got sick. And a special Thank you to Intermountain Health and Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
