Judy Duncan

November 8, 1947 — July 13, 2024

JEROME

Judy Maxine Stuhlberg Duncan, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho on July 13, 2024, at the age of 76.

Judy was born in Wendell, Idaho on November 8, 1947, to Edward and Georgia Stuhlberg. She grew up on the family farm in Jerome, Idaho and graduated from Jerome High School. Judy married Grant Duncan in 1965 and had three children, Lori, Tami, and Greg. Judy and Grant built a home on the corner of her parents’ farm where the kids were raised and Greg still resides. Judy and her family, especially the kids, loved living close to their grandparents.

Judy worked for Smith, Cook & Company for many years. She was a bowler and loved playing cards with friends. The family enjoyed camping and fishing, and especially loved their family vacation every summer at Redfish Lake. In 1998 they moved to Shoup, Idaho where they opened Duncan's Outpost, a restaurant, fishing, and hunting destination. After divorcing, Judy moved to Twin Falls, Idaho to be near her mother and daughter Lori, who also helped care for her.

Judy always had a puzzle on her table when you stopped to visit; she spent hours on them. Another great LOVE and best friend was her dog, Jazzie, who was a great comfort and companion to her. Judy had a wonderful sense of humor and was quick-witted. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. They meant the world to her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Georgia Stuhlberg; and siblings, Jeanette and Jackie.

She is survived by her siblings, Charles Stuhlberg and Nancy (Jon) Heitzman; children, Lori (Mark) Richardson, Tami (Jerry) Fleming, and Greg (Aimee) Duncan; grandchildren, Matthew Richardson, Kaitlyn Fleming, Kelsee (Brett) Fleming-Littrell, and Garret Duncan.

Our family would like to express special appreciation to Sue Jacobsen for her extraordinary care and friendship with our mother and to the Hospice Visions staff. Judy is forever loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at the Jerome cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 24, 2024, from 1-3pm at her home, 312 Carriage Lane, Twin Falls.
