Jerome- Jerry Lee Haney, 77, of Jerome, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday May 7, 2016, at his home. Jerry was born December 5, 1938, in Uhrichsville, Ohio, to Vernon and Florence Haney. He spent his childhood in Ohio and shortly after graduating from High School, he joined the US Air Force and proudly served his country. While stationed at Mt. Home AFB, he met the love of his life, June Bagley, on a blind date and the rest is history. Jerry passionately served in the Lion's Club for 25 years. He loved to laugh and joke and could talk to anyone, for hours. He was a kind-hearted man who would do anything to help another out.
Jerry is survived by his sweetheart of 53 years, June Haney; their children, Angela Riley, Lisa Haney, Bill (Kim) Haney, Connie (Bryan) Walker; nieces Madge (Bob) King and Shelley Recchiuti; 14 grand and two great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Florence Davis and Vernon Haney; his sister Betty (Warren) McCauley and stepfathers William Gregor and Delmar Davis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday May 12, 2016, in the Jerome LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 825 East Avenue B, Jerome. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
