Jerome- Jack Patrick Gregg, 77, of Jerome, passed away Monday February 1, 2016, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born February 16, 1938, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Jack Gerald Gregg and Alice Beatrice Glavin Gregg. Jack was raised in Hayward, California and graduated from Hayward High School. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Machinists Mate. Following an Honorable Discharge, he returned to California where he raised three children and owned and operated Nucltec Products, Inc. After retiring, he settled back in Idaho. Jack enjoyed golfing, traveling, dancing and especially tending his yard, garden and fruit trees. He also loved working in his machine shop. Mostly he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend who was patient, kind and generous.
Jack is survived by his children; Jamie (Rich) Gregg-Hoop, of Oakley, CA, David (Tiffany) Powers, of Morgan Hill, CA and Kelly (Marcel Abarca) Powers, of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren; three sisters, Betty (Ken) McKay, of Jerome, Liz Hammel of Hayward, CA and Dixie (Bill) Prather of Dayton, NV; one brother, Dallas (Gloria) Pittman of Fresno, CA; and many extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara Gregg, and one sister, Mary Margaret Williams.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. , Saturday February 6, 2016 , at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 216 2nd Avenue East, Jerome, with Fr. Rob Irwin, presiding. Jack's family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in his name to: Mountain States Tumor Institute (MISTI), 725 Pole Line Road West, Twin Falls, ID 83301. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
