Herman Cottam

Jerome- Herman DeWayne Cottam, 67, of Jerome, passed away Thursday August 13, 2015, in Twin Falls.  On November 5, 1947, Georgina "Gene" Natress Cottam and her husband Herman Cottam, were blessed with the last of her eight children, Herman DeWayne Cottam.  He joined five brothers and two sisters and many extended family members and made up a loving family.  In 3rd Grade, DeWayne gave some licorice to a cute little classmate named Judy.  She would later become his wife and they would raise two daughters.  And, their family keeps on growing!

Anyone who knew DeWayne, knew of his insatiable love for his family and the sincerity of his friendship.  A true man, he fought for his beliefs, convictions and his family.  He stated that "the veil is thin."  He has many people on both sides who love him very much.  Now he is home with his Creator and feeling the greatest love of all.

A visitation will be held Monday evening, August 17, 2015 , at Farnsworth mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, where family and friends may call from 6-8 PM .  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM , Tuesday August 18, 2015 , in the Jerome LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 50 East 100 South, Jerome, with Bishop Jeff Stoker officiating.  A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Hagerman Cemetery.
