Gwenna "Gwen" Lynn Walter Lough was called home on November 19, 2023. She was surrounded by her family as her Earthly family mourned, her Heavenly family rejoiced.
Gwenna was born to Alvin & Colleen (Gardner) Walter in Colville, Washington, on February 23, 1954. Mom enjoyed life with her kids & grandchildren. We were the lights of her life. She spent a lot of time gushing over our successes.
Her hobbies included square dancing, sewing, watching live sports (usually with only a little yelling at the teams), ceramics, and cross-stitching.
Gwen was a woman of many hats throughout her career. From stay-at-home mom to substitute teacher, to secretary, and finally officer manager. Gwen served 16 years at the Twin Falls County Department of Environmental Quality and happily retired at 66 years young in 2020.
Gwen was called "Mom" to all of Ashley and Patrick’s childhood friends & teammates. She treasured being a safe place for the neighborhood kids & our friends. However, on the field, she was OUR Mom! She never missed a game, concert, play, match, field trip, or whatever else the kids & grandkids decided to spend their time on.
Gwenna is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Ronald) Pickett; son, Patrick (Melissa) Lough; sister, Pam; brother, Bob; five grandchildren: Trinitey, Mynley, Kinzley, Oliver, and Alvin. Many nieces, nephews & cousins, and a world full of friends.
Gwenna was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Colleen; and her brother, Brian.
We would like to thank all of Mom's doctors, nurses, and friends who came to check in on her. She was surrounded by Love and Laughter all the way to the end.
