Graciela Almanza, 77, of Jerome, Idaho passed away on September 29, 2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones until she entered the Gates of Heaven.
Graciela was born on November, 18 1945, in Victoria de Cortazar, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Ignacio Campos and Maria Guadalupe Medina.
She met the love of her life, Roberto Almanza, to whom she was happily married to for over 60 years. They moved to the United States in 1988 to seek a better life and opportunities for them and their children.
She was a dedicated and loving wife, and a devoted mother to her children. Graciela lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She was widely known for her cooking and friendliness. She also had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden, which was always in full bloom. Her vegetable gardens with her husband were always to share with anyone that would visit.
Graciela was a kind and loving soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her. She will always be remembered for her generosity and feeding everyone that came to her home, even the construction workers that worked on their roads.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roberto Almanza of Jerome, Idaho; children, Virginia (Salvador) Gallardo, Blanca (Honorio) Samano, Norma (Jorge) Mata, Roberto Almanza Jr., Juana (Oscar) Gonzalez, Ana Almanza (Paul Lopes); fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Alejandro Almanza; father and mother; sisters, Estela Sierra and Susana Almanza; and brothers, Roberto Campos, Juan Campos & Ladislao Campos.
Rest in peace. Your love and memories will forever be in our hearts. We will continue to live the way you taught us, with love and compassion.
A viewing will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome, with a Rosary starting at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday October 9, 2023, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 216 2nd Ave E, Jerome.
