Georgia Lora Bean Blunt, 92, of Jerome, Idaho passed away February 15, 2022 in Twin Falls. She was born May 26, 1929 in Berryville, Arkansas to William George Bean and Martha Melissa Hill Bean. In the 1940’s, Georgia moved to Jerome with her mother, and siblings, Carl E. Bean, Fred E. Bean, Orville A. Bean, Emma E. Swartz, Darcus L. Miller, Edna Bateman, Nelly Thompson, and Mary Carmen.
She met her husband, Sheldon L. Blunt, and they were married December 6, 1947 in Elko, Nevada.
Over the years, Georgia worked in various factories including Simplot, Tupperware, and Idaho Frozen Foods. At home, she loved to garden, quilt, and collect windchimes and dolls. She was also very fond of cats. Though, most importantly, she was a very strong, loving, and kind mom and grandma. She stood up for what she believed in and wouldn’t back down.
Georgia has now joined her husband of 61 years in Heaven, as well as her parents. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Leroy Blunt.
She is survived by their children, William L. “Bill” Blunt of Jerome; Susan (Dan) Reil of Jerome; Robert K. (Kathy) Blunt of Twin Falls; and Dennis S. Blunt of Jerome; ten grandkids; and several great and great great grandkids.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, February 18, 2022 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Farnsworth Mortuary with burial concluding at Jerome Cemetery.
