Geneva “Genny” Ellis

Jerome- Geneva “Genny” Ellis, 81, of Jerome, passed away June 9, 2015, in Victorville, California.  She was born September 24, 1933, in Macintosh, South Dakota, the seventh of nine children born to George and Amelia Siler.  Genny was raised in Macintosh and attended schools there.  She married Del O’Connor and they had five children.  Genny was a lifelong Catholic and worshipped at St. Jerome Catholic Church, where she also served as the secretary.  She served as the board chairperson at the Jerome Senior Citizen Center.  While visiting family in California, she suffered a major stroke and resided in Victorville until her passing.  Genny is survived by her children;

Kevin (Susan) O’Connor, Sean (Shenese) O’Connor, Stacey O’Connor and Kelly (Craig) Carlson.  She is also survived by her youngest brother, Frank (Donna) Siler; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Cindy; two grandsons; and seven siblings.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM , Friday June 26, 2015 , at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 216 2 ^nd Avenue east, Jerome, with Deacon John Baumbach presiding.  Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
