Foye Duane Carrell

Foye Duane Carrell, 81, of Jerome, Idaho passed away on April 22, 2024 in Twin Falls, Idaho after a short illness with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. Duane was born April 30, 1942 in Jerome, Idaho to Everett and Lorene Carrell. Duane attended schools in Jerome and Wendell and graduated from Derby High School in Kansas on May 26, 1960.

Duane married Mary Gergens on May 26, 1963. Duane worked as a journeyman electrician in Wendell, Idaho and later owned and operated Duane’s Meat Market in Jerome, Idaho.

Duane loved fishing, hunting and boating with his family and friends. Duane was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, grandpa and friend. Duane was a true gem. 

Duane is survived by his son, Doug (Cindy) Carrell of Middleton, Idaho; daughter, Deb (Coit) Erickson of Meridian, Idaho; sisters, Donna Calkins of Meridian, Idaho and LaRita (Robert) Rost of Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandsons, Pyne (Shanae) Carrell of Notus, Idaho and Danner Carrell of Burley, Idaho; step-grandchildren, Josh (Audrie) Floyd of Boise, Idaho and Meagan (Brandon) Mills of Middleton, Idaho; great-grandson, Beau Carrell and step great-grandson, JayDM Mills; and many wonderful friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary; infant son, David; parents, Everett and Lorene Carrell; and brothers, Jim and Donny (Bud) Carrell.

Per Duane’s request no service will be held. 

Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end they simply mean “I’ll miss you” until we meet again.
