Floye Stansell

Jerome- Floye Jorean Dotson Stansell, 89, of Jerome, passed away Monday October 3, 2016, in Jerome.  She was born November 19, 1926, in Tonitown, Arkansas, the youngest of nine children born to Albert James Dotson and Jossie Ann Newberry Dotson.  Floye was raised in Lower Wharton where she met Grady Stansell.  They were married September 12, 1943, and settled in Ontario, California, where they raised four children.  Floye's working years were spent as a seamstress and also at General Electric.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and especially going to yard sales.  Mostly she loved spending time with her family.

Floye is survived by her children; Wayne Stansell of Jerome, Donna (Wade) Vaughan of Mackay, ID, Cinda Wilson of Jerome and Estelle (Charles) Moore of Ontario, OR.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and many extended family members and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Grady, three sons-in-law, Dick Bailey, David Weddle and Bill Wilson; and all eight siblings, Charley, Everett, Ottie, Maxine, Flossie, Berndine, Rheva and Clifford.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, October 11, 2016 , at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln Avenue, Jerome, where family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m . , Wednesday October 12, 2016 , also at Farnsworth Mortuary, with Pastor Paul Springer officiating.  A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery. www.farnsworthmortuary.com
