Floyd was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Bishopric Counselor, Sunday School President, Scout Leader, and Ward Finance Clerk.  He also served a Stake Mission.  Floyd’s favorite activities included hunting, fishing, reading, gardening, exploring new country, and meeting  people.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Elaine, son Clair (Leslie) Fiet, Bountiful UT, and three daughters:  Leslie (Gayden) Nelson, North Logan UT, Shirley (Rocky) Metts, Kimberly ID and Jenness Fiet, Wendell ID, 13 Grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Janet (Mel) Scrivner and brother, Bill Fiet.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Isabelle Fiet, two sons, Dennis and Layne Fiet, and two sisters, Marian Mathewson and Elva Murray.
