ESTHER T. ROBISON DAW
Jerome- Esther Thompson Robison Daw, 96, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 28, 1919, in St. George, UT, to George Thomas and Martha Ann Baker Thompson. She was the sixth of eight children. She grew up in St. George and attended Woodward Grade School and graduated from Dixie High School in May 1937. She and Robin Lock "R.L." Robison of Fillmore, UT, were married on June 2, 1937, in the St. George L.D.S. Temple. They lived in Utah for several years and their first three daughters, Derrel, Lorraine and Robin, were born there. In June of 1945, the family moved to Jerome, ID where R.L. was the distributor for Utah Oil Refining Company and she did the bookwork. Two more daughters, Helen and Ruth, were born here. R. L. died on March 9, 1965. At that time Esther went to work for Prescott Craig Insurance and worked there for 19 years.
On August 16, 1969, Esther and Donald Daw were married and Esther helped Don raise his two children, Brian and Melissa Ann. Esther was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including a full-time mission to St. George, Utah, with Don in 1986. Don died on December 13, 2013.
Esther is survived by her daughters, Derrel (Arlen) Crouch of Sandy , UT, Lorraine (John) McCarthy of Glenwood Springs, CO, Robin (Jerry) Pulley of Phoenix, AZ, Helen (Clifford) Rencher of Centennial, CO and Ruth (Michael) Elison of Twin Falls, ID; Don's children, Brian (Brenda) Daw of Las Vegas, NV and Melissa Ann (Dorian) Bench of Jerome, ID. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren along with step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Esther was loved by everyone who knew her and she enriched their lives with love and kindness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. , Friday April 8, 2016 , in the Jerome LDS 6th Ward Chapel, 506 North Tiger Drive, Jerome, with Bishop Darin Dimond officiating. A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery mausoleum. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome. www.farnsworthmortuary.com
