EllaMay Zillig Jorgenson

EllaMay Zillig Jorgenson passed peacefully surrounded by family at St. Luke’s Medical Center on November 9, 2024. She was born February 22, 1940 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to William A. Zillig and Nellie M. Zillig. She was the youngest of five siblings. At the age of 5, her family moved to Homedale, Idaho. She attended schools in Homedale until high school, then attended Greenleaf Friends Academy, Greenleaf, ID where she graduated in 1958. She was very proud of her accomplishments. 

She married LaVern Jorgenson, June 8, 1958 in Homedale, ID. They moved around Idaho a few times before settling in Jerome in 1966. They had many adventures in their 66 years. Along with farming for several years, they enjoyed dancing, bowling, camping, and attending as many events as possible that included family, grandchildren and great friends.

EllaMay was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Willis. She is survived by her husband, LaVern; daughters, Linda Hadam (Mike Winterholler) and Nancy Sauer (Jeff); grandchildren, Jennie Ridley, Levi Hadam, Andrew Sauer, and Alyson Sauer; and great grandchildren, Colby Ridley, Bryanna Ridley, Addyson Ridley, Easton Ridley, Carson Hadam, and Garret Hadam.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome, ID. Graveside service will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.
