Elaine Behr

Elaine Luella Behr passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Brookdale Assisted Living facility in Twin Falls, ID.

Elaine was born in Wendell, ID on March 22, 1946 to Maxwell Behr and Alice Crane Behr. She grew up in Richfield, ID, and graduated as Salutatorian from Richfield High School where she enjoyed playing the clarinet in the school band, playing basketball, and participating in the local rodeo. Elaine went on to college at North West Nazarene, where she was a member of the choir, and also attended the College of Southern Idaho.

In 1968 Elaine moved to San Francisco, CA where she spent most of her life. She enjoyed rowing in the San Francisco Bay, gardening, handicrafts such as crocheting and knitting (she made beautiful Christmas decorations) and was an avid reader. She worked for many years as an office manager at a tax law firm and retired from there in 2010. She returned to Idaho in the spring of 2019.

Elaine is survived by three sisters, Maxine, Deanna, and Rosalie; as well as four nieces and nephews, 14 grand nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Per Elaine’s request, no funeral service or memorial will be held. She wanted her loved ones to have a party, which will be held sometime next year.
