Edward Kober

Jerome- Edward E. "Ed" Kober, 74, of Jerome, passed away Monday October 5, 2015, at his home. He was born November 27, 1940, in Jerome, the son of Ernest and Caroline Lapp Kober. Ed graduated from Wendell High School in 1959, then served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He married Marijane Hodge in 1964 and he spent his life establishing a farm and home southeast of Jerome where he lived out his years raising his five children.

Ed is survived by his sweetheart of 51 years, Marijane; their children, Shaunna (Gary) Ferrenburg, Stacye (Rick) Young, Kim (Mike) Platt, Shane (Tevian) Kober and Lance (Nikki) Kober; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Pat Moss, Marla Upham, Janet Hecker and Steve Kober. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services with military honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM , Saturday October 10, 2015 , at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2055 Filer Avenue East, Twin Falls, with Pastor Roger Sedlmayr, presiding. A visitation will begin at 1:00 PM . Immediately following the services, family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon and share fond memories as we remember our husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Ed's family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in his name to: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2055 Filer Avenue East, Twin Falls, ID 83301. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
