Earleen Graves

June 24, 1945 — April 7, 2018

Earleen Rose Graves passed away peacefully at her home in Jerome, Idaho on April 7, 2018. Earleen was born to Serena Nichols Davis (Landeros) on June 24, 1945 in Yuba City, California.  At the age of 4 she was adopted by Clarence Mathew and Ynide Rose Carroll.  She grew up in Manteca, California and then moved to Twin Falls, Idaho at the age of 18.

Earleen married Lawrence “Junior” Meyers in July of 1966 and they had 6 children during their 11-year marriage.  They divorced but continued to be friends for the remainder of her life.

On March 15, 2002 Earleen married Brent Devon Graves.  They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on November 1, 2003.  Together they enjoyed visiting family, attending family reunions, and picnics in the canyon.  Brent could always get Earleen to laugh, even when she was mad at him.

In her younger years Earleen worked a variety of jobs including bean sorter, telephone operator, and Avon consultant. She delivered newspapers for the Times News for 13 years. Later in life she earned her Secondary Education Degree from the College of Southern Idaho and went on to work as a Developmental Specialist, Teacher's Aide, and Substitute Teacher.

Earleen will be remembered for her beautiful smile, positive attitude , and tender heart.  She loved animals, especially her cats, Sarah and Sasha.  She always had a special friend that she loved and served. She loved reading, watching movies, gardening, shopping, girls' trips, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Earleen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in various callings but cherished her time in the primary the most.  She was a pioneer for her posterity leaving a legacy of faith, kindness, perseverance , and service.  She was a friend to all and will be dearly missed.

Earleen leaves behind her sisters, Phyllis Lander Christy of Tucson, AZ, Kay Malberg of Cheney, WA, Virginia Ripley of Adair Village, OR, and Carmen Landeros of Underwood, WA; her husband, Brent Graves; her son, Larry ( Marlee ) Meyers; her daughters, Cheri (Phillip) Burbank, Rosanne (Milton) Broncheau, Marcy (John) Etcheto , Jennifer Anderson, and Jami (Scott) Butler; her step-daughters, Jill Graves and Tawnya Graves; her nieces and nephews; 26 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
