Dorothy Bergey

Dorothy J. Bergey of Jerome passed away October 16, 2017. She was born March 2, 1932 in Taulbee, Kentucky to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Ida Belle (Taulbee) Fugate. Her father died in 1937 and the family moved to Chicago.

Dorothy married Warren Bergey on February 13, 1954. Warren was in the Air Force so Dorothy followed him, spending three years in Japan. Their daughter, Beverley Ann, was born in Tokyo, Japan and their son, Wayne, was born at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Dorothy held many jobs over the years but being a homemaker, a devoted wife, and loving mother, was her proudest accomplishment.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Chester, Lesley, Wesley, Robert Kelly, Ollie, Estill, Arthur, Sophia, Samuel, and Sheldon.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Bergey of Jerome; her children, Beverley Gregg of Jerome and Wayne (Pam) of Colfax, Washington; one brother, Keenis; six grandchildren: April (Brandon); Josh (Bryann); Holly (John); Krysta (Troy); Ashley (J.P.); and Hailey (Justin); 16 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Rusty.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome, with a viewing beginning at 1:00 pm. Dorothy will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise.
