Dixie Ellen Martin, age 69 of Jerome, Idaho, ended her courageous battle with cancer and entered Heaven’s gate on August 7, 2020.
Dixie was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on March 3, 1951 to her loving parents, Mary Luella Huff and W. Richard Denney. Both of whom she will now be reunited with.
Dixie grew up in Murtaugh, Idaho where she was able to experience and cherish some amazing childhood memories. On December 19, 1969 Dixie married Larry Taft Martin and settled in Hansen, Idaho. They divorced several years later. In the years to come, Dixie relocated to Jerome, Idaho where she resided until her passing.
Dixie was a hard worker and was always willing to help anyone. She loved to spend her time reading a good book, crocheting a cozy blanket, and dancing to the oldies. She definitely enjoyed finding a good joke and loved the laughs.
Surviving are her children: Joy Lynn Davis of Buhl and Kyle Allen Martin of Jerome; her siblings: Penny McCullough of Boise; Rick Denney of Twin Falls; and Ray Denney of Kimberly; her beloved grandchildren: Zakkery Martin, Jody Martin, and Rory Davis; her great grandson, Kamden Beltran; her aunts, Lois Enz and Ella Reyes; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins that were always in her heart.
She will be dearly missed by all. We may all take comfort knowing that we have an angel shining down up on us.
The family invites you to Dixie's Celebration of Life potluck to be held at 11:00 am, Saturday August 22, 2020 at the Idaho Central Credit Union Park, 300 East Main, Jerome, Idaho 83338.
