Debra June “Debbie” Cederburg Olive, 67, of Boise passed away peacefully July 17, 2018 at her home. Debbie was born July 6, 1951 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the second child of Roy and LaVerne (Adams) Cederburg.
After graduating area schools Debbie studied to become a vet tech. Although she didn’t complete her training, her love of animals never wavered. She always had a dog or two (or three or four) of her own, but her home was open to countless other animals that she loved and cared for.
Debbie was never one to shy away from hard work. She took the jobs that would help her provide for her family no matter the difficulty. She worked on oil rigs and pipelines, owned and operated her own roofing company, worked construction as a tile setter, and many other arduous labors. In her later years, she was a caregiver to her ailing mother and others that benefited from her gifts. When she had free time, which was rare, she enjoyed rock hunting, tending her roses, and reading her Bible. She was at her best when sharing the word of the Lord with others.
Debbie was an exceptional woman. She spent her time helping those around her. Debbie was mother to many. Her caring gentle nature touched so many people’s lives, whether it was counseling, financial, spiritual, or even providing a home. She was able to change a life with a helping hand, an encouraging word, and her beautiful smile.
Debbie had an amazing strength that came from her deep faith in the Lord. She lived her earthly purpose with intention. She didn’t believe in giving up, you just keep working at it until you accomplish your goals. For those who knew Debbie, there will always be a piece of our hearts in Heaven and a piece of Heaven in our hearts and home.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Scottie Cantrell.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Olive, married Sept. 1, 1989; brother, Steve Cederburg; son, Steve Cantrell; daughter, Crystal (Jason) Burgess; grandsons, John Lopez, Cameron Rindal, Christian Neal, Austin (Cearia) Cantrell, and Kayd Cantrell; granddaughter, Cayson Burgess; and great grandsons, Landon and Scottie Cantrell.
She is also survived by the multitude of hearts that were lucky enough to know her, love her, and be saved by her. We love you Mom! And we know, You Love Us More!
