Daniel & JoAnne Harris

Daniel “Danny” Ray Harris, a longtime resident of Idaho passed away January 31, 2017 at his home. Danny was born November 10, 1932 in Ely, Nevada to Lincoln G. and Nevada Guisti Harris. He received his education in Ely, Las Vegas, and Hawthorne, Nevada. In 1949 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Okinawa and Guam. He was a musician at an early age, playing the guitar, steel guitar and bass guitar with many top country musicians. He also was a truck driver for many years, and had a drywall business with two partners for several years. He loved fishing, and golf and bowling were among his many interests.

He married JoAnne Bernhardt in 1956 and had four children.  He is survived by son, Lincoln Harris of Boise, Idaho; daughter, Teri (Gary) Naethe of Kila, Montana; daughter, Connie (Jim) Fuss of Twin Falls, Idaho; and son, Aaron Harris of Twin Falls, Idaho. He is also survived by a son, Tim (Susan) Harris of Dallas, Texas from a previous marriage; a step son, Vernon (Pamela) Jenewein of Fennville, Michigan; a brother, Leonard (Cathy) Ingalls of Rupert, Idaho; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lilly Casteel; a brother, Jimmy; and a son, Danny Harris Jr.

Danny requested a private family service and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Veterans Organization of your choice.

JoAnne Irene Harris, a longtime resident of Idaho, passed away February 12, 2015. JoAnne was born December 10, 1936 in Hillrose, Colorado, to Carl and Lydia Bernhardt, the middle of five children. She attended schools in Colorado and Nebraska. In 1951, she married Robert E. Hutchinson, and to this union was born a son in 1953, Vernon Lee Hutchinson Jenewein. They later divorced and in 1956 she married the love of her life, Danny Harris and they raised four children.

JoAnne pursued many different hobbies throughout her lifetime; there was never enough time in a day.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; and children: son, Vernon (Pamela) Hutchinson Jenewein of Fennville, Michigan; son, Lincoln Harris of Boise, Idaho; daughter, Teri (Gary) Naethe of Kalispell, Montana; daughter, Connie (Jim) Fuss of Boise, Idaho; son, Aaron Harris of Twin Falls, Idaho; stepson, Tim (Susan) Harris of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Bette Copeland of Jackson, Mississippi; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lorraine Douglas; and two brothers, Vernon Bernhardt, and Melvin Bernhardt.
