Cherryl Coop

Cherryl Dawn Coop graduated from this world September 9, 2021. She went home to join her husband, Sterling “Slim” Coop, and her fur babies; Chance, P.J., Sissy, and Fuzzball.

Cherryl was born in Baker City, Oregon January 11, 1948 to Frank and Lucille Van Cleave. She loved Baker City. Some of her fondest memories as a youth were spending time with her Grandpa Ben Van Cleave working on the ranch. Cherryl loved animals and was always bringing one or more home that she had rescued.

Cherryl met and married Roger Ivie in March of 1965. They were the parents of four beautiful children; Wayne, Darla, Lorie, and Mike. They later divorced. After a few years of searching, she found her soul mate, Sterling “Slim” Coop.

Cherryl is survived by her sister, Marcie Van Cleave; three children, Wayne Ivie (Dodi), Darla Rarick (Dwight), and Mike Ivie. She has nine grandchildren: Lori Clavio (Joe), Tim Barney, Jackie Jensen, Tiffany Jensen, Richard Clark, Stormy Mireles (Angel), Cody Rarick, Kinsey Ivie, and Raini Ivie. Cherryl has nine beautiful great grandchildren.

Cherryl was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucille Van Cleave; husband, Slim Coop, ex-husband, Roger Ivie; and her precious daughter, Lorie Ann Ivie.

Until we meet again Cherryl. We love you and miss you. You are forever in our hearts.
