Carrie Ellen Gause

JEROME

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Carrie Ellen Gause, who passed peacefully away after a long illness on October 9, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 3, 1955, she grew up in Jerome where she raised her family. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband of 44 years, and a devoted mother to her children.

Carrie was a kind and generous soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality.

Carrie loved spending time on the road with her husband with the wind in her hair and bugs in her teeth. She also enjoyed cruising and seeing the sites around the country. Hers was the house where the neighbor kids gathered and where anyone who entered was welcomed and offered something to eat. Her #1 love was her family. She loved family gatherings for no reason, attending all the sports events for kids and grandkids and just hanging out playing cards into the wee hours of the morning.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Cassandra (Brett), Stephanie (Adam), Jeremy (Shauna), and Alison (her niece, if you know, you know); grandchildren, Haelie (James), Trey (Mark), Isabella, Colton, Hunter (Maria), Raquel, and Sean; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Charlotte, Alex, Noah, and Ayden; and countless others who called her Grammy, who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her sister, Linda; brothers, Shelley (Rose), Karl (Denice), and Jeff (Deb).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Priscilla; sisters, Hilary, Mary, and Jeanie; and her grandsons, Patrick and Ty.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Best Western Plus, 1377 Blue Lakes Blvd N, Twin Falls.

Carrie always said she had a “black thumb”, so, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Twin Falls Optimist Youth Center (https://optimistyouthhouse.com/donate/ or through their Venmo account @optimistyouthhouse) in memory of Carrie Ellen Gause.

Rest in peace, your battle is over dear mother. You will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Carrie's memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
