Carol Porter

Carol Ruth Porter was born July 21, 1960 in Lusk, Wyoming to Carl and Dorthy Porter. She was their fourth child. Carol’s father worked on an oil rig and moved his family with him from town to town in Wyoming. By the time Carol was 6 years old, the family had moved 56 times. Carol’s mother stopped counting after that. Carol averaged three schools a year until the age of 11.

Carl then packed his family to move to Oregon. The family broke down in Dietrich, Idaho and Carl decided the family would just stay in the area. Carol lived in Hazelton and Hansen and attended school until she married.

Carol has two children, Duane (Laura) Legg and Carey (Jesse) Lovato; six grandchildren, Aiden, Layla and Arianna Legg and Cody (Kailana) Herrera, and Amber and Tristyn Lovato; and great-granddaughter, Khloe Herrera, who brought much joy to Carol’s life. Carol is also survived by her sister, Annie (Gerald) Chojnacky; and her brother, Mike Porter; as well as several nephews and nieces that she loved to talk with.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Carl; mother, Dorthy; brother, Duane Porter; and her granddaughter, Josalyn Legg.

Carol lived in Jerome, Idaho and loved being surrounded by her family and friends.
